Art is…

…life-affirming, perspective re-framing, provocative, political, risky. My mixed-media works explore anatomy, perception, and neurocognitive anomalies. My visual art has been exhibited in Russia, Spain, and the United States. Above is Cygnus Scotoma, a digitally manipulated photograph of London swans along Hyde Park’s Serpentine Trail as perceived during a migraine with aura. In the photo below, my synaesthetic perception of a digital radiograph Castor (top) is displayed with Broadway in the Rain by Dillon James (bottom), and Hypnogogic Vision by Carol Steen (left). The works below were part of the installation Synaesthesia: Cross Sensory Aspects of Cognition Across Science and Art at Moscow State University of Psychology and Education, October 2019.
